Books I Bought in July

I’ve been trying to keep track of what books I buy each month as my TBR continues to grow at a faster rate than I can read. I was doing *quite well* in July until I noticed the 3 for £5 deal at The Works included some books I’ve had my eye on for a while and I ended up not actually doing that well in terms of not buying too much. These are the books I received in July – the title is slightly misleading as a couple I didn’t buy in July, they just arrived in July, and a few I was kindly gifted.

Books I Bought New

Books I Bought From Amazon:

  • Natives by Akala
  • Surrounded by Idiots by Thomas Erikson
  • Why I’m No Longer Talking to White People About Race by Reni Eddo-Lodge
  • All Boys Aren’t Blue by George M. Johnson
  • Lanny by Max Porter
  • Half a World Away by Mike Gayle

Books I Bought From Hive:

  • Dear Girl by Aija Mayrock

Books I Bought From a Local Independent:

  • Queenie by Candice Carty-Williams

Books I Bought From The Works:

  • Outlander by Diana Gabaldon
  • Dragonfly in Amber Diana Gabaldon
  • Voyager by Diana Gabaldon
  • The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides
  • The Poetry of Oscar Wilde by Oscar Wilde
  • The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde
  • Foxlowe by Eleanor Wasserberg

Books I Was Gifted

Books I Received From a Friend:

  • The Hundred Year-Old Who Climbed out of the Window and Disappeared Man by Jonas Jonasson

Books I Won in a Giveaway:

  • Inconvenient Daughter by Lauren J. Sharkey

Books I was Gifted for Review (by publishers or the author):

  • The Stone Thieves by Eddy Telviot
  • The Story of Babushka by Catherine Flores
  • Ways to Make Sunshine by Renée Watson
  • The Extraordinaries by TJ Klune

21 books. That’s how many books I acquired through various means. More than I intended, but I feel slightly better knowing that I have read 8 of them. I have A Song of Wraiths and Ruin, The Midnight Library and a couple of books I bought from Instagram on the way in August but other than that I have no intention of buying any more books. I am hoping to focus on the books I do own and continue to read as many of them as I can.
